Abel Trujillo is heading to Brazil this week to face Gleison Tibau at UFC Fight Night 77, and the American believes his wrestling is going to play a pivotal role in the bout.

Trujillo will be competing for the first time in 2015, after breaking his arm earlier this year and having to pull out of a bout with John Makdessi in April. Recently “Killa” spoke to UFC.com about this Saturday’s match-up, and here is some of what Trujillo had to say about Tibau:

“He (Tibau) is a little bit slower than me, and I feel like he’s gonna wrestle me, for sure, so I’ve been focusing on my defense, and I think my defense is gonna be my greatest offense in this fight,” Trujillo said. “I want to just keep him forcing the shot and getting tired. Man, I’m fighting a Brazilian in Brazil; I don’t want to go to a decision. (Laughs) I’m trying to finish this guy.”

The 32 year-old Trujillo (12-6) is coming off a submission loss to Tony Ferguson last December, and is 2-2, with 1 no contest, in his last 5 bouts.

Tibau (33-11) was also tapped out by Ferguson in his last outing, and the veteran is 3-2 in his last 5 contests.

UFC FN 77 will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort.
