It remains to be seen what the UFC’s plans are for its new bantamweight champ, Dominick Cruz, but the decorated fighter isn’t overly interested in talking about another bout with Urijah Faber.

Cruz worked his way to a razor thin, split decision win over TJ Dillashaw on Saturday, and in doing so, reclaimed the belt which was taken from him due to a run of knee issues. Before Cruz was stripped of the title in 2012, he was scheduled to face Faber for a third time, and the two have continued to verbally spar over the years.

So, following last night’s title win, Cruz was not surprisingly asked about whether he wants to face Faber next, who is currently ranked #3 at 135. Cruz had this to say about his rival while talking to FOX Sports (quote via press release):

“I’m still talking about him? I don’t even want to talk about him. How many title shots has he had? Look at all these guys looking to take out a guy who’s had one minute of fighting in the last four years. So I guess I’ve got to pat myself on the back.”

Faber faced Renan Barao in 2012 for the interim, bantamweight title and was decisioned by the latter. The two met again in 2014 and Barao won via stoppage.
