Following his stoppage loss to Neil Magny at UFC Fight Night 85, Hector Lombard has acknowledged that he made a mistake, by ferociously trying to finish the welterweight contender.

Lombard caught Magny with some heavy punches moments into the bout, and proceeded to swarm the latter with follow up strikes. Magny defended well, however, and survived the round. In round two, it was clear that Lombard was considerably fatigued, and Magny went on to stop him in round three.

Recently the heavy handed fighter posted the following comments on Instragram, regarding his defeat.

With the defeat, Lombard’s record dropped to 34-5-1. It marked the first time in his career that the Judoka has been stopped.
