Not only did Steve Bosse get back on track last night at UFC Fight Night 85 by defeating James Te Huna, the Tristar fighter showcased the power that made him one of Canada’s top prospects for some time.

After electing to come out of retirement last year, Bosse was quickly knocked out by Thiago Santos last June, in what was the fighter’s UFC debut. The 34 year-old had been UFC bound before that, but due to injuries, Bosse elected to hang up the gloves.

Well, last night in Brisbane, the former hockey enforcer KO’d Te Hunt in under one minute with a vicious hook. While speaking to MMA Junkie.com after the bout, Bosse had to this to say:

“Hit him and knock him out,” Bosse said. “That was the gameplan. Every time, it’s the gameplan. But, if it didn’t work, I’m a mixed martial artist. I can do it on the ground; I can do anything.

“Now I proved what I can do. I can do a big knockout. I hit harder. I hope people were loving to see this tonight.”

With the win, Bosse moved his pro record to 11-2. Te Huna’s, meanwhile, fell to 16-9.
