After losing three of his last five fights, a lot is riding on  “Bigfoot” Silva’s bout this weekend with Stefan Struve, and the massive heavyweight is keenly aware of that fact.

The heavyweight contenders will fight at UFC Fight Night 87 on Sunday, which will take place in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Silva (19-8-1) will be looking to get back on track, after he was stopped by Mark Hunt in November. The defeat was the massive heavyweight’s fourth defeat in his last six bouts, and left him outside of the top ten ranks.

Recently Silva spoke to UFC.com about this weekend’s match-up, and while doing so, the American Top Team fighter stated the following:

“We’re both coming off losses and we both need to win,” Silva said. “No doubt about it, the fans should expect an amazing fight. We are two big fighters – huge in size – and we’re both going to look for the finish. It’s going to be an amazing match. We’re both looking for the finish.”

“Fans are going to see Bigfoot Silva going back to his roots – looking for the victory all the time,” Silva said. “Stefan is an amazing fighter. He’s a very good fighter who knows a lot of jiu-jitsu and a lot of kickboxing. Even though I respect the kid a lot, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. I have fought guys that have beaten Struve. It gives me more confidence because I beat fighters that beat Stefan.”

Struve (26-8), meanwhile, was decisioned by Jared Rosholt in his last fight. The 7’0 tall fighter has gone 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.
