Most people are expecting a violent affair when Roy Nelson and Derrick Lewis throw down at UFC Fight Night 90, and the latter seems to agree with that prediction.

The heavyweights have been booked to fight at the July 7th card, after Lewis called for a fight with the heavy handed Nelson. Recently the dangerous finisher spoke with UFC.com, and here is some of what Lewis had to say:

“It’s one of the biggest fights I always wanted to have,” Lewis said. “I always wanted to fight (Gabriel) Gonzaga and I always wanted to fight “Big Country,” so that’s one of the reasons I took (the Gonzaga fight) on short notice. It didn’t matter to me.

“I just believe it’s going to be a fun fight – an entertaining, fun fight for the fans, basically,” he added. “I believe for sure one of us is going to get a bonus; either it’s going to be Fight of the Night or one of us is going to get knocked out…”

Lewis (15-4) is coming off a KO win over Gonzaga to extended his winning streak to three. Nelson (21-12) earned a decision win over Jared Rosholt in February, after losing three consecutive bouts.

UFC FN 90 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
