John Lineker needed less than three minutes to prove he’s a legitimate, bantamweight contender tonight at UFC FN 91, as he quickly took out Michael McDonald.

The feared slugged cracked McDonald with a big overhand right not long into the bout, and although McDonald valiantly attempted to fight back, he was eventually taken out by follow up punches. The victory was the former flyweight’s fifth straight.

In the co-headliner, Tony Ferguson was pushed to his limits by UFC newcomer, Landon Vannata. The latter, who stepped in on short notice for Michael Chiesa, landed several, thumping strikes early on. The lightweight contender fired back with his own onslaught of strikes, and in round three. Ferguson sunk in a fight ending, D’arce choke.
