Although Derek Brunson has won four straight and has moved into the UFC’s top ten at 185, the powerful fighter doesn’t believe his recent run has received much attention.

Brunson is scheduled to fight Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 94 this Saturday, which will take place in Hidalgo, Texas. The bout comes during a run which has seen Brunson finish three straight opponents, and move his overall record to 15-3.

Recently the Strikeforce vet spoke to UFC.com, and while doing so, Brunson said this:

“I still think people are not really paying attention. They’re kind of like, ‘Okay, this guy is kinda good, but we don’t know exactly what we have here.’ I know what my capabilities are though.

“I was thinking the other day: I’m 6-1 in the UFC, I’ve got a big fight coming up, I’m currently ranked tenth, I’ve been finishing guys in the first – if I can go out here and get another finish in the first, I can definitely hurdle some guys (in the rankings), so I could be in the six or seven spot.”

Hall (12-6), meanwhile, is coming off a UD loss to Robert Whittaker, and is currently ranked #9.
