Dustin Poirier will be gunning for his fifth straight win tonight at UFC FN 94, and he’ll also be looking for his first victory since the recent birth of his daughter.

Poirier will face fellow lightweight contender Michael Johnson in the main event of today’s card, which will take place in Hidalgo, Texas. Recently Poirier appeared on “UFC Tonight“, and when asked how fatherhood has changed his approach, “The Diamond” stated (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):

“Yes. I’ve always fought for myself and I wanted to be the world champion. Now I have a daughter at home. It’s one thing to fight for yourself, but it’s a whole different game to fight for my family and that’s what I’m doing now.”

The American Top Team fighter is coming off a first round, knockout win over Bobby Green in June. Johnson, meanwhile, hasn’t fought since last December when he was decisioned by Nate Diaz.
