UFC FN 98: Michael Bisping Outlines Why He’s Picking Tony Ferguson Over RDA

Tony Ferguson

By FCF Staff

Tony Ferguson has won eight straight fights as he gets set to face Rafael dos Anjos tonight, and Michael Bisping believes that winning streak is going to be extended to nine.

Ferguson will face the former lightweight champ in the headliner of UFC Fight Night 98, which will take place in Mexico City. On the latest “UFC Tonight“, Bisping was asked to weigh-in on the contest, and here is some of what the middleweight champ had to say (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):

“He’s got the killer instinct. He’s got to use the forward pressure to back up RDA and put him against the fence. He’s got to get in the clinch with him to tie him up. He’s got to be unpredictable. That’s where he’s his best.”

“I like RDA,” said Bisping, after relaying that he’s picking Ferguson. “The mental game is going to be tough with RDA. Tony is on an eight-fight win streak. The wonders that will do for your confidence is ridiculous.”

Dos Anjos is coming off a first round, stoppage loss to Eddie Alvarez in July. Prior to that the well rounded fighter had won five in a row.
