After Gabriel Gonzaga knocked out Shawn Jordan at UFC 166, Stipe Miocic relayed he was interested in fighting the heavyweight vet, and now the UFC has granted his wish.

According to a report from Cleveland.com, which was retweeted by the UFC, Miocic and Gonzaga will fight January 25th at UFC on FOX 10.

Prior to defeating Jordan, Gonzaga (16-7) knocked out Dave Herman at UFC 162 this past July. The only man who has defeated the former contender in his last five fights is Travis Browne, who KO’d Gonzaga at the TUF 17 Finale in April.

Miocic (10-1) is also coming off a big win, as the Ohio fighter scored a unanimous decision win over Roy Nelson at UFC 161 in June. The victory returned Miocic to the win column, after he was stopped by Stefan Struve at UFC on FUEL TV 5 last September.

The heavyweight has gone 4-1 to date in the UFC.

UFC on FOX 10 will be hosted by Chicago’s United Center and will also feature former lightweight champ Benson Henderson taking on Josh Thomson.
