UFC on FOX 11: Jordan Mein to Battle Santiago Ponzinibbio
By FCF Staff
After spending nearly a year on the sidelines due to injuries, Jordan Mein will return to the Octagon on April 19th and will face Santiago Ponzinibbio. Dana White recently announced the UFC on FOX 11 match-up via Twitter.
Mein (27-9) hasn’t fought since April, 2013, when he was stopped by Matt Brown at UFC on FOX 7. Mein broke his orbital bone during the fight, and then later in the year the welterweight tore his MCL.
Prior to facing Brown the 24 year-old had won three straight, which included a TKO win over Dan Miller.
Ponzinibbio (18-2) will be looking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Ryan LaFlare, which took place at UFC Fight Night 32 in November. The TUF Brazil vet had won seven straight before losing his official UFC debut.
UFC on FOX 11 will be hosted by Orlando’s Amway Center and will feature Fabricio Werdum taking on Travis Browne in the headliner.
