Just a couple of hours after the UFC announced that Alexander Gustasfsson  will battle Anthony Johnson on January 24th, the promotion has announced that Dan Henderson will also fight Gegard Mousasi at the Stockholm bound event.

According to the official announcement, Henderson-Mousasi will take place at 185 pounds and the fight will serve as the co-main event for UFC on FOX 14. Verbal agreements are in place for the upcoming fight.

Henderson (30-12) will be competing at middleweight for the first time since 2010, when he was decisioned by Jake Shields under the Strikeforce banner. Most recently the 44 year-old legend was choked out by light-heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier in May.

Prior to that, the former PRIDE champ stopped “Shogun” Rua at a Fight Night card in March. Henderson has gone 1-4 in his last five bouts.

Mousasi (35-5-2) is also coming off a defeat, as the renowned fighter was submitted by middleweight contender “Jacare” Souza in September. Mousasi was coming off a first round, tap-out win over Mark Munoz heading into the bout. The 29 year-old fighter is 3-2 in his last 5 scraps.

UFC on FOX 14 will be hosted by Stockholm, Sweden’s 30,000 seat, Tele2 Arena.
