By FCF Staff
The line-up for UFC on FOX 14 continues to grow, as the promotion has announced that featherweight Mirsad Bektic will take on Alan Omer at the January 24th event.
Omer (18-4) will be looking to get back on track after he dropped a split decision loss to Jim Alers in April, which marked his Octagon debut. In the fight’s official announcement, the featherweight was quoted saying:
“Mirsad is going to receive the beating of his life,” Omer said. “I’m coming to Stockholm to knock him out.”
Bektic (8-0), meanwhile, is coming off a majority decision win over Chas Skelly at UFC on FOX 11 in April. The American Top Team fighter relayed about the upcoming fight:
“Everybody in the featherweight division will be training bright and early Monday morning after they see my fight,” Bektic said. “I’m really excited to fight in Stockholm, at the biggest event in Europe ever and second biggest event in UFC history. it’s going to be epic.”
UFC on FOX 14 will be hosted by Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena and will feature Alexander Gustafsson taking on Anthony Johnson in the main event.
