Chris Camozzi

One week out from UFC on FOX 15, the promotion has announced that Chris Camozzi, and not Yoel Romero, will fight Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.

During today’s UFC FN 64 broadcast, the organization confirmed that Romero has withdrawn from the bout due to injury, and that Camozzi has agreed to step in.

Camozzi (20-9) is coming off a submission win over Jeremy Kimball, which took place at a Fight to Win card in November. The veteran was coming off four straight losses heading into the bout, which included a technical submission loss to Souza.

“Jacare” (21-3) has won seven straight bouts and scored a submission win over Gegard Mousasi in his last outing.

UFC on FOX 15 will be hosted by the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on April 18th.
