Alistair Overeem and Junior dos Santos have been booked to fight again, as the heavyweights will battle on December 19th at UFC on FOX 17. The all-star bout will co-headlined the event, which will take place in Orlando, Florida.

Overeem and JDS have been scheduled to fight twice before. Their first encounter was planned for 2012, but after Overeem tested positive for an elevated epitestosterone-to-testosterone ratio, the bout was cancelled. The in 2013, their fight was cancelled once again, when Overeem went down with an injury.

More recently Overeem (39-14) has scored consecutive wins over Stefan Struve and Roy Nelson, after being stopped by Ben Rothwell.

Dos Santos (17-3), meanwhile, hasn’t fought since last December when he earned a decision win over Stipe Miocic.

JDS is currently ranked #2 in the heavyweight division, and Overeem is positioned at #9.

UFC on FOX 17 will be headlined by a lightweight fight between champion Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone.
