Many observers and fans predicted that Valentina Shevchenko was a dangerous fight for Holly Holm to take, and the bantamweight proved that was indeed the case at UFC on FOX 20.

Although Shevchenko never appeared to hurt or stun Holm, the decorated Muay Thai utilized various kicks and quick hands to outscore Holm throughout the bout. After the 25 minute main event. Shevchenko was awarded the unanimous decision win.

In the co-headliner, Edson Barboza demonstrated again why his leg kicks are amongst the best in MMA. The experienced striker punished the legs of Gilbert Melendez with thumping kicks, and was able to shut down any of the latter’s takedown attempts. Barboza was also awarded a UD win.
