Urijah Faber will face Brad Pickett this Saturday, in what will be the final fight of “The California Kid’s” career, and it sounds like he’s expecting a tough challenge.

Faber and Pickett will fight at UFC on FOX 22, which will take place in Sacramento, California. Recently Faber appeared on “UFC Tonight”, and when asked for his take on Pickett as a fighter, the bantamweight stated (quote via FOX Sports press release):

“He’s a championship-level fighter. He has more submissions than has knockouts, but always goes for the kill. The difference is he’s a tit-for-tat guy. He’ll give a punch to take a punch. I’m a little less inclined to do that. I think speed will be an advantage for me, but you never know.”

When asked about his involvement with Team Alpha Male will be, after Faber retires, the team’s founder stated:

“I’ll be super hands’ on, as a coach helping out, as a mentor for the next generation, helping build the brand and recruiting. We always had guys coming to us, but we’ll go find some people, too. I’ll be in there daily, hopefully not getting punched by Cody daily.”

Pickett (25-12) is coming off a submission loss to Iuri Alcantara in October. Faber (33-10), meanwhile, lost via decision to Jimmie Rivera in his last bout, which took place in September.
