UFC on FUEL TV 6: Cung Le Knocks Out Rich Franklin in Devastating Fashion

The UFC’s first trip to China will likely be forever remembered for the highlight reel finish the main event produced, as the headliner saw Cung Le knockout former middleweight champion Rich Franklin in the opening round.

In the opening two minutes, it was Franklin who was the busier fighter, as Le looked to counterstrike with punches rather than kicks. After Franklin attempted to throw a left leg kick, Le stepped in and caught him with a beautifully timed right hook that floored the fighter face first instantly.

Afterwards, the 38 year-old Franklin said he would have to go home, review the tapes and discuss the loss with his coaches before he determines what next.

The win extended the 40 year-old Le’s UFC record to 2-1.

Here are the results from today’s UFC on FUEL card, which was hosted by the Cotai Arena at the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel.
