By FCF Staff

Ronda Rousey and Frankie Edgar scored one sided, stoppage wins this weekend, and both stars have moved up the UFC rankings as a result.

Rousey needed just 16 seconds to take out challenger Alexis Davis at UFC 175 on Saturday, which extended the Judoka’s overall record to 10-0. Following the victory, the bantamweight champion has been moved into the #9 slot for the UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings.

Welterweight champ Johny Hendricks has dropped a spot to #10.

Davis has slipped a position, following the loss, and is now ranked #3 at 135.  Miesha Tate has moved into the #2 slot.

At featherweight, former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar has moved into the #2 position, after stopping BJ Penn in the third round at the TUF 19 Finale. Edgar jumped over Cub Swanson, who has moved down to #3 at 145.

Another rankings change has seen Lyoto Machida move into the #2 ranking at middleweight, alongside Vitor Belfort. Machida was decisioned by champion Chris Weidman, but he threatened the undefeated fighter in the later rounds of their UFC 175 headliner.

The UFC rankings are determined by a panel of media members following each event.
