Mark Hunt

By FCF Staff

After becoming the first man to stop Roy Nelson in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 52 last weekend, Mark Hunt has moved into the promotion’s top five, heavyweight ranks.

The punishing striker, who floored Nelson in the second round with a pounding uppercut, has moved up one spot and is now ranked #5.

Josh Barnett, who Hunt recently called out, dropped one ranking and is #6.

Undefeated lightweight Myles Jury has benefitted from his first round, TKO win over Takanori Gomi on Saturday. “Fury” has been moved into the #9 ranking slot, while veteran Jim Miller dropped to #10.

Flyweight Kyoji Horiguchi, who scored a first round, stoppage victory over Jon delos Reyes at UFC FN 52, has moved into the #13 ranking.

Louis Gaudinot fell a position and is #14.

The UFC rankings are determined by a panel of media members following each event.
