For the first time since September, 2010, the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be returning to Indianapolis, as today the promotion announced that its upcoming UFC on FX 5 card will take place in the city.

According to a report from the Indy Star.com, the card will be hosted by the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, which was formerly known as the Conseco Fieldhouse. The 18,000 seat plus venue hosted the aforementioned UFC 119 event.

No details regarding the card have been announced.

The promotion’s last trip to Indianapolis featured a main event between Frank Mir and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, which saw Mir knockout the feared striker with a third round knee.

The upcoming event will be broadcast live on the FOX owned FX channel.
