UFC: Ronda Rousey-Cat Zingano Fight Booked
By FCF Staff
Cat Zingano finally has a date for the title shot she secured last April, as the UFC has announced she will battle bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey on January 3rd.
The fight will be part of UFC 182, which will be hosted by a venue to be determined in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Zingano (9-0) earned a title shot at the TUF 17 Finale last year, by stopping Miesha Tate in round three. Not long after, however, Zingano injured her knee and had to undergo surgery. In September, she returned to the cage and TKO’d Amanda Nunes in the third round.
Rousey (10-0) is coming off a 16 second, KO win over Alexis Davis in July, after she quickly stopped Sarah McMann in February.
UFC 182 will also feature a light-heavyweight fight between champion Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier.
