UFC Vet Anthony Njokuani Scheduled For Legacy FC 38

Njokuani

By FCF Staff

It hasn’t taken Anthony Njokuani long to lock up another bout, after the veteran was recently let go by the UFC, as the lightweight will reportedly fight Thomas Gifford at Legacy FC 38.

Njokuani (16-9) was handed a unanimous decision loss by Daron Cruickshank in October, which was his third defeat in four bouts. The 34 year-old’s last win took place in April, 2013, when he knocked out Roger Bowling.

The noted striker will be competing outside the Zuffa banner for the first time since 2009 when he faces Gifford, which will take place on February 13th.

News of Njokuani’s Legacy FC signing, and subsequent fight, was reported by MMA Junkie.com and then retweeted by the promotion.

Gifford (8-6) is coming off a second round, KO win over Wade Johnson in August at Legacy FC 34.

Legacy FC 38 will be hosted by the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas.
