Although Mark Bocek is coming off a victory in April, which extended his UFC record to 8-5, the renowned grappler has announced he’s retiring from pro MMA.

The 32 year-old lightweight announced the news via Twitter recently by posting:

During Bocek’s UFC run, the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt scored wins over the likes of Nik Lentz, John Alessio, Dustin Hazelett and Alvin Robinson, among others.

The Canadian was also defeated by notable vets like Frankie Edgar, Rafael dos Anjos, Benson Henderson and Jim Miller.

Bocek made his pro debut in 2004, and signed with the UFC in 2007, after going 4-0 to begin his career.
