Report: UFC Veteran Ryan Jimmo Killed in Hit-And-Run Incident
By FCF Staff
The MMA world is mourning the loss of another fighter, as UFC veteran Ryan Jimmo was reportedly killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-runt incident.
According to a report from the CBC, the 34 year-old fighter was killed after he was hit by a car in the parking lot of an Edmonton bar. Police say that there was an altercation prior to Jimmo being struck, and they are looking for at least two men in connection with the incident.
Jimmo, who is originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, hadn’t competed since he was decisioned by Francimar Barroso last May. The decorated Karate competitor made his UFC debut in 2012, and knocked out Anthony Perosh in just 7 seconds.
All of us at Full Contact Fighter extended our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Jimmo.
