After departing from the Blackzilians to join team Jackson-Winkeljohn in Albuquerque, Alistair Overeem has also signed with a new management team.

First Round Management, which is led by CEO Malki Kawa, announced that it will be representing the UFC heavyweight.

Kawa and Overeem were quoted saying in the official announcement:

“Alistair Overeem is one of the most accomplished heavyweight fighters in all of MMA,” Kawa said. “I’m excited to bring him on to the First Round Management team and show him exactly what we can provide an athlete of his stature.”

“I’m excited to announce this new deal with Malki Kawa and First Round Management,” Overeem added. “Malki has built one of the best management companies in MMA, and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish together.”

First Round Management also represents UFC light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones, as well as established vets like Carlos Condit, Tyron Woodley and Frank Mir among others.

Overeem (37-13) is coming off a decision win over the aforementioned Mir, and is currently recovering from elbow surgery.
