UFC’s Alistair Overeem Responds to Allegations he Hurts Training Partners, Says Media Twisting Facts
By FCF Staff
The training habits of Alistair Overeem have been called into question recently, but the heavyweight has fired back and says the media is spinning the facts.
Not long after reports surfaced that Jon Jones injured his knee while training with Overeem at Jackson’s MMA, reports surfaced of an alleged sparring incident between the latter and Andrei Arlovski.
The former UFC champ reportedly told a Russian outlet that he also was nearly injured by Overeem, but “The Reem” recently posted the following on Instagram:
Sometimes amazing how media twist and turns things.. For ratings unfortunately I suppose.. But rest assured, me and AA go hard inside the gym! To better eachother.. And after were all good and drink togheter.. Non alcoholic of-course cos both our fights are coming up! And for the people attempting to throw gas on the fire… Don’t worry – I’m a firm believer in karma – your time will come 🙂
Overeem is scheduled to fight Ben Rothwell at UFC FN 50 on September 5th, while Arlovski will battle Antonio Silva the following week on September 13th.
