The line-up for the January 18th, UFC Fight Night in Boston has been significantly bolstered, as the promotion has announced that former lightweight champ Benson Henderson will battle ex-Bellator champ Eddie Alvarez.

The lightweight fight will co-headline the card, which will feature Conor McGregor taking on Dennis Siver in the mainevent.

Henderson (21-4) will look to rebound from the knockout loss he incurred versus Rafael dos Anjos in August, which followed his wins over Rustam Khabilov and Josh Thomson.

Alvarez (25-4) is also coming off a defeat, as the accomplished fighter was decisioned by Donald Cerrone in September, in what marked his UFC debut. Alvarez had won three straight fights heading into that bout.

Henderson is currently ranked #5 in the UFC’s 155 division and Alvarez is positioned at #10.
