UFC’s Conor McGregor Says Next Fight May Not be For The Title, Calls on “Scared Contenders”
By FCF Staff
Not long after word surfaced that Conor McGregor is considering a move to lightweight, if he secures and defends the UFC’s 145 title next year, the rising star says another plan is in the works.
Recently, Dana White argued that McGregor has earned the #1 contender spot, and the Irish fighter relayed in a follow up interview that he expects to challenge for the title sometime in early 2015. On Wednesday, however, McGregor made the following tweets which outline a different path:
I am looking forward to going to Brazil this week to see the Number 1 contender fight between Aldo and Mendes. Who gets to face the KING?

Because Aldo's body is weak and Mendes is 2foot nothing, they will not be ready to challenge me for the throne until mid next year.

Myself, Uncle Frank and the rest of La Familia are in the process of selecting another victim to eliminate in the meantime.

I demand all scared contenders bow before me and kiss each individual toe, in a public setting of my choice, for pardoning from execution.

You've 24hrs to come forward and surrender your woman and all your belongings or you'll be hunted down and your head placed in my collection

Of course, none of this has been confirmed by the UFC, but depending on what unfolds with the October 25th bout between champ Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes, the promotion could look to book McGregor another fight.
