UFC’s Dana White Comments on Making GQ Magazine’s “Sleaziest” Figures in Sports List
By FCF Staff
Recently it was revealed that Dana White was named as one of the ‘sleaziest’ figures in sports by a GQ Magazine story, and the UFC President has weighed in on his inclusion.
While speaking to UFC.com in a follow up report, here is some of what the outspoken ZUFFA exec had to say about the criticism.
“You’re never going to be able to stop what people say about you, and everybody isn’t going to love you,” White said. “But I don’t take offense to anything. When you’re in a public position like this you’re always going to have people say things about you. Believe me, if I worried about everything that was said about me, I would have been a mess a long time ago. That kind of stuff doesn’t bother me at all, not even a little bit.”
White was ranked above Lance Armstrong, and one spot below “War Machine” on the list, which he relayed is the bad for the promotion’s “brand.” The UFC President also argued that the promotion pays its fighters “very well”, in response to the story’s criticism that it underpays its employees.
