Report: UFC’s Dana White Says Promotion Undecided About Holly Holm’s Next Bout
By FCF Staff
UFC executives Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta have said they hope to book a rematch between Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm, but it looks like there’s a chance the latter could fight in the interim.
After Holm knocked Rousey out in November and became bantamweight champ, she said she was open to a rematch. Rousey has also said she wants to face Holm again, but the former champ isn’t planning to fight again before summer. As a result, Holm’s camp has reported they would like her to fight in the meantime.
Recently it was announced that Holm has signed a new contract extension with the UFC. In a follow up report from the L.A. Times, White relayed that it’s “possible” Holm could fight someone else other than Rousey next.
The UFC President also said he hasn’t talked to Rousey about “business”, and that he plans to reach out to her.
