UFC’s Hector Lombard Says he Wasn’t Aware Bout With Rory MacDonald is Off

Recently the UFC announced that a scheduled, April 25th bout between Rory MacDonald and Hector Lombard has been cancelled, but evidently someone forgot to inform the latter.
According to a recent statement from the promotion, MacDonald and Lombard will no longer fight at UFC 186. No reason for the change, however, was provided. As a result of the cancellation, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson has been booked to fight Kyoji Horiguchi at the Montreal bound event.
Not long after, the following post appeared on Lombard’s official, Instagram account:
Helwani also reported on Twitter that he briefly spoke with Lombard, and that the welterweight contender was unaware of the fight being cancelled.
