Thanks to a seven fight win streak the spotlight continues to glow brighter on welterweight Matt Brown, but fellow contender Hector Lombard has let it be known he’s not blown away by the fighter’s recent success.

Lombard, who has scored wins over Jake Shields and Nate Marquardt now since dropping to welterweight, recently had this to say about Brown:

The 36 year-old Judoka and #7 ranked welterweight has yet to be booked for his next fight. Following Brown’s recent stoppage win over Erick Silva, however, UFC boss man Dana White relayed that Lombard-Brown could be next.

The 33 year-old Brown is currently holding down the #6 position in the UFC’s welterweight division.
