Promising lightweight Islam Makhachev could be booked for his next fight soon, as the UFC’s announced that U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has lifted the fighter’s provisional suspension.

Makhachev (12-1) was booked to fight Drew Dober at UFC on FOX 19 in April, but was pulled from the bout, after testing positive for meldonium. The substance was added to the banned list this past January.

But, according to a report from MMA Fighting.com, Makhachev’s team claims the fighter was prescribed the substance by his physicians, back in 2014. After providing documentation of this, USADA has elected to lift the suspension. The organization is, however, still investigating the matter.

Here is the UFC’s official statement on Makhachev:

The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, has lifted Islam Makhachev’s provisional suspension due to recent WADA statements regarding the handling of Meldonium cases, making him immediately eligible to return to competition. Makhachev was provisionally suspended by USADA on April 15, 2016, as a result of a potential Anti-Doping Policy Violation involving Meldonium, a prohibited substance on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited List.

The 24 year-old fighter has gone 1-1 in the UFC to date, and is coming off a stoppage loss to Adriano Martins in October.
