UFC’s Khabib Nurmagomedov Says Next Bout is Signed, Hints Donald Cerrone is Opponent
By FCF Staff
There have been reports that the UFC is targeting a bout between Donald Cerrone and Khabib Nurmagomedov for Memorial Day Weekend, and now the latter has dropped a hint that the fight is signed.
For several weeks now, there’s been speculation that Cerrone (27-6) will fight fellow, lightweight contender Nurmagomedov (22-0) next, and recently “The Eagle” tweeted the following:
signed contract to fight some guy today was dad and uncle my opponent probably drinking right now @lorenzofertitta pic.twitter.com/vQxzXNzR8I

Cerrone, who is currently riding a seven fight win streak and is ranked #3 at 155, is sponsored by Budweiser. “Cowboy” was expected to fight the #2 ranked Nurmagomedov last fall, but the undefeated fighter injured his knee.
Nurmagomedov has won six straight fights since arriving in the UFC in 2012.
