Not only did Rick Story become the first man to defeat Gunnar Nelson at UFC Fight Night 53 on Saturday, the welterweight apparently did so despite suffering a broken ankle.

Story, who scored a unanimous decision win over Nelson and moved into the #12 ranking spot as a result, tweeted the following pic on Tuesday:

Story was coming off a submission win over Leonardo Mafra Texeira heading into his bout with Nelson, and now holds a record of 18-8.

The fighter reportedly told MMA Fighting.com that he is scheduled to meet with his doctor on Wednesday, but that the initial diagnosis is that he fractured his tibia.
