Following his submission win over Ivan Menjivar last weekend at UFC 157, it hasn’t taken Urijah Faber long to secure his next bout, as the top ranked bantamweight will face Scott Jorgensen April 13th at the TUF 17 Finale.

“Urijah Faber is one of the best bantamweights in the world and he proved it at UFC 157 by submitting Ivan Menjivar in the first round,” UFC President Dana White was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “He’s ready to jump right back in the Octagon on April 13 with Scott Jorgensen, who’s ranked seventh in the world at 135 pounds. Both of these guys like to finish fights. This is a really exciting main event for the TUF Finale!”

Jorgensen (14-6), meanwhile, is coming off a submission victory over John Albert in December, after dropping back-to-back bouts to Renan Barao and Eddie Wineland.

Prior to facing Menjivar, Faber (27-6) dropped a unanimous decision loss to the aforementioned, interim champ Barao.

The TUF 17 Finale will be hosted by the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and will also feature Travis Browne vs. Gabriel Gonzaga, Miesha Tate vs. Cat Zingano, and Cole Miller vs. Bart Palaszewski.
