Bellator has begun unveiling the line-up for the promotion’s June 22nd card in Chester, West Virginia, which will feature the quarter-finals of its upcoming light-heavyweight tournament.
The card, which will be hosted by The Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort, will be broadcast on MTV 2.
Bellator has confirmed three of the quarter-final bouts, as former MFC champion Roger “The Hulk” Hollett (13-3) will take on decorated Kempo competitor Attila Vegh (24-4), Bellator veteran Rich Hale (18-4) will face Beau Tribolet (7-1), and Finland’s Marcus Vanttinen (21-3) will battle Brazil’s Philipe Lins (5-0).
“I came here to Bellator with one goal, and that’s to be the next Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion,” Vegh was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “Becoming a Bellator champion is my main mission in my career. I want to be recognized as the best light heavyweight in the world, and after that my mission will be complete.”
The promotion has also announced that Travis Wiuff (66-14), who defeated champion Christian M’Pumbu in non-title fight last year, will compete in the tourney. The UFC vet’s opponent has not been announced.
