Welterweight Ryan Ford and his Management Announces Bellator Signing

By FCF Staff

Ryan Ford is heading to the Bellator Fighting Championships, according to posts the Canadian welterweight prospect and his management Iridium Sports made on their Twitter accounts.

The ‘tweets’ did not mention when Ford will make his promotional debut. Attempts to contact Bellator about the signing were not immediately returned.

Ford (16-3) is currently riding a four win streak. Most recently on June 10th, Ford stopped Nick Hinchliffe in the third round, after the Edmonton fighter scored a TKO victory (doctor stoppage due to cut) over Karo Parisyan in May.

The 29 year-old-fighter has also earned victories over Tom Speer, Pete Spratt (twice) and Laverne Clark since he turned pro in 2007. The only men to defeat Ford to date are Douglas Lima and Pat Healy (twice).

Bellator’s next event takes place, this Saturday, July 23rd in Rama, Ontario.
