It remains to be seen where and who Will Brooks fights next, but the former lightweight champ has expressed an interest in facing Khabib Nurmagomedov, following his release from Bellator.

Recently Bellator confirmed that it will not be retaining the services of Brooks, and that he’s free to negotiate with other promotions. Brooks has been critical of Bellator in recent months, and has argued the promotion does not effectively promote it’s home grown stars.

Following the news that Brooks will not be back in the Bellator cage, the 29 year-old was asked on Twitter who he would want to fight, if he signs with the UFC. Brooks responded by saying “Khabib”.

The well rounded fighter also released the following video, thanking fans for their support.
