As expected, a light-heavyweight bout between Anthony Johnson and fellow UFC vet Mike Kyle will headline the fifth World Series of Fighting event, which will take place September 14th in Atlantic City. The Revel Casino Hotel’s Ovation Hall will host the card, which will be broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network.

Johnson (15-4) will be looking to extend his impressive, post UFC run, as the 29 year-old fighter has now won five straight since he was submitted by Vitor Belfort at UFC 142. Most recently, he scored a unanimous decision win over former UFC heavyweight champ Andrei Arlovski at WSOF 2 in March.

Kyle (20-9-1) is coming off a quick knockout of well travelled vet Travis Wiuff, while competing for the Championship Fighting Alliance in May. Prior to the win, the 33 year-old vet was submitted by Gegard Mousasi at the final Strikeforce event in January.

Kyle is 2-2, with 1 no contest, in his last five appearance.

Up next for the promotion is WSOF 4, which will go down August 10th in Ontario, California. A light-heavyweight bout between Tyrone Spong and Angel DeAnda will headline the card.
