WSOF 7: Ryan Dickson Replacing Injured Ryan Chiappe
By FCF Staff
World Series of Fighting has announced another late change to the promotion’s December 7th card, as Ryan Dickson will replace the injured Ryan Chiappe versus Marcus Vinicius.
The welterweight bout will be part of the WSOF 7 preliminary card, which will be hosted by Vancouver, British Columbia’s PNE Agrodrome.
“We wish Ryan Chiappe a speedy recovery and hope to see him fight for us at some point in the future,” World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo said about Dickson, who reportedly survived testicular cancer. “But our team at World Series of Fighting Canada went quickly to work and did a fantastic job in securing Ryan Dickson for our card. Dickson is an impressive young prospect with an incredible story as a cancer survivor, and this could be his opportunity to really make a name for himself. I’m looking forward to seeing what he brings to the decagon.”
Dickson (6-1) is coming off a submission win over Advin Omic, after losing by unanimous decision to UFC newcomer Alex Garcia at a Challenge MMA card in May.
Vinicius (9-6) scored a tap-out win over Dia Grant in his last outing, which took place at a Aggression FC card in July.
