X-Ray Confirms Break in “Minotauro” Nogueira’s Arm
By FCF Staff
The first submission loss of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira’s storied career has cost him a broken arm, and the veteran heavyweight will likely spend some considerable time on the sidelines as a result.
The UFC has tweeted an x-ray of Nogueira’s right arm, following his loss to Frank Mir at last night’s UFC 140 card, which came to a gruesome end via a kimura. Despite being sent to the mat by a barrage of Nogueira’s punches, Mir managed to recover and transitioned into the fight ending technique to secure his second win over the former Pride champion.
The loss was Nogueira’s second in his last three fights, following a stoppage defeat to Cain Velasquez in February, 2010 and a knockout win over Brendan Schaub in August.
