XFC 19 Update: Corey Hill Also Off Card, Nicolae Cury vs. Roger Carroll New Headliner

Just hours after Xtreme Fighting Championship announced that Mike Bronzoulis would no longer fight Corey Hill at Friday’s event in Charlotte, N.C., it appears as though Hill is also off the card.

Earlier the XFC announced that Hill would fight Roger Carroll in the main event, after Bronzoulis withdrew from the card due to undisclosed reasons.

Now, Bellator vet Nicolae Cury (6-3) will reportedly fight Carroll (11-5) in the headliner, as a result of Hill’s no longer being on the card. The reason for Hill’s withdrawal has also not been released, however, according to a report from MMA Junkie, the XFC has relayed that the UFC vet will fight for the promotion later this year.

Cury and Carroll were originally scheduled to fight, until Carroll was temporarily matched to fight Hill. Ronnie Rogers had been brought in to fight Cury as a result, but apparently will no longer compete.

XFC 19 will be hosted by Charlotte’s Grady Cole Center and will be broadcast on AXS TV.
