Following his electrifying, knockout win over Andre Fili at UFC 197 last weekend, Yair Rodriguez is now a top 15 ranked, featherweight.

The Mexican fighter buzzed the MMA world on Saturday night, by finishing Fili off with a flying, roundhouse kick to the head. The promotion has released it’s latest rankings, and as a result of the win, Rodriguez has moved into the #14 spot.  Rodriguez was not ranked in the top 15 heading into the event.

In another interesting development in the rankings, former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis has dropped four spots in the ranks, following his decision loss to Edson Barboza. Pettis, who has lost three straight, is now ranked #7. Barboze rose two positions and is now#6.

UFC 197 was hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
