Potential UFC Blockbuster Fights In 2019

There are many possibilities of super fights happening in the UFC during 2019. It is going to be a very special year for Daniel Cormier who has insisted his retirement is on the horizon. It should give fans the chance to see two more super fights with Cormier, however, and if he manages to win both he will surely become the GOAT of MMA. Hopefully, we will see Conor McGregor enter the Octagon once again but with the huge amount of money he has made, it is not a certainty. With Jon Jones back in action after his ban along with the possibility of Georges St-Pierre  returning once more to cement his legacy, there is so much to look forward to in mixed martial arts next year.

Daniel Cormier vs. Brock Lesnar

If “DC” and Lesnar were only wrestling the national championship betting odds would be a lot closer than when they fight in the UFC. Even though there is a huge size difference between the two, Cormier is by far the most skilled in all aspects of mixed martial arts, which should see him get the win. The last time that Lesnar won in the Octagon was back in 2010 at UFC 116 verse Shane Carwin. That does not mean that Brock does not stand a chance, however, as anyone with his wrestling pedigree and size can beat anyone in the world.

Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 3

The biggest fight in the UFC of 2018 was when McGregor faced Khabib Nurmagomedov, which did not go well for the Irish superstar. He was dominated in the fight and soon after called for a rematch to take place. There are many possible fights that McGregor can take on but the stand out one that would surely break all the records would be a trilogy fight against Nate Diaz.

Khaib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson

One fight that has to take place for the fans is Ferguson taking on Nurmagomedov but many fear it will never take place. This is because the fight has been arranged to take place four different times in the past, but each time something has happened to make it fall apart. No one deserves a shot at the lighweight belt more than Ferguson and hopefully, Khabib will honor this.

Jones vs. Cormier 3

Now that Jones defeated Alexander Gustafsson at the end of December, and if Cormier  is able to overcome Lesnar it will set up the biggest set in the UFC history. Cormier has been beating everyone up since Jones got banned and became a legend in MMA. If he is to become the greatest, he will have to overturn his only two losses in the UFC, which were both against Jones. It would make for a fairytale ending, but with Jones being undefeated and many considering him the best ever, it will take everything he has to avenge those losses.
