Pro Fighters Wanted For Ultimate Combat
From the event’s promoter: Pro Fighters wanted for Ultimate Combat There are a handful of fighter spaces remaining for the Ultimate Combat event on 10th March in Chippenham. The event is Professional Vale Tudo and is being held in the UK’s first Octagonal boxing ring! The event is at the Olympiad Sports Centre in Chippenham, which is a deluxe new sports development complete with stadium style seating and capacity crowd of 1,500 people! The event is fully sanctioned by BAMMA (the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts) and results from these events will go into BAMMA’s official British rankings, which will be used for making selections to send fighters abroad to compete in America, Japan, Holland, Finland, Italy, and Germany. Firstly, there are two spaces left in the Middleweight (75 – 82.9 kg) British Title Eliminators. The winner of the title will get £350 prize money, the National Title, Title Belt, a sponsorship deal with ML Sports, title defences at £350 and a guaranteed fight abroad! There is also a spot available to fight British Vale Tudo Champion Leigh Remedios in the Lightweight SuperFight (-68kg). Serious and experienced competitors need only apply! Leigh recently fought in Hook N Shoot and America and is the UK’s #1 Lightweight so we really do need a quality opponent for him! We are also very interested in hearing from Heavyweight and Openweight fighters. We have one opening for a Semi-Pro match (no headshots on floor) in the Welterweight division (68 – 74.9 kg). There are a few more places available, in various weight categories and we are already arranging matches for Ultimate Combat 2 on 9th June 2002.
