UFC Champ Rafael dos Anjos Outlines Recipe For Continued Success

Rafael dos Anjos

There should be far fewer doubts surrounding Rafael dos Anjos today, following the lightweight champ’s short and dominant win over Donald Cerrone at UFC on FOX 17.

Dos Anjos hurt Cerrone moments into their fight with a big left hand, as well as a punishing knee and kick to the body. Cerrone attempted to recover, but a swarm of punches from RDA brought about the stoppage.

It was another performance from RDA that buzzed the MMA world, following his one sided, decision win over Anthony Pettis in March. While speaking to FOX Sports 1 after the card, here is what dos Anjos had to say about his recent run (quote via press release):

“I’m surrounded by the best guys. We have a great team at Kings MMA. We don’t have a fight team we have a family. My family supports me. Now is my time. I’ve passed through bad moments in my career. It’s been preparing me for this journey. I’m happy to always evolve. I’m able to improve all the time.”

Dos Anjos has won five straight fights since he was decisioned by Khabib Nurmagomedov in April, 2014.
