The UFC continues to add match-ups to its spring schedule, and a compelling lightweight match-up is one of the latest additions.

Recently, the promotion reportedly announced that former lightweight champ, Rafael dos Anjos, will take on Mateusz Gamrot next.

The fight will be part of UFC 299, which will take place on March 9th. The location of the card has yet to be announced.

The 39-year-old dos Anjos (32-15) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to welterweight Vicente Luque in August. The Brazilian fighter has gone 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.

Gamrot (23-2), meanwhile, recorded a TKO win over Rafael Fiziev in his last outing, which took place in October. Fiziev incurred a knee injury in the second round and could not continue.

The 33-year-old, Polish contender has gone 4-1 in his last five outings.

UFC 299 will be headlined by a fight between bantamweight champ Sean O’Malley and Marlon “Chito” Vera.
